In July of 2008, an 8-member team from High Desert Church investigated the physical and spiritual needs of a group of people living in Dzuwa, a cluster of 46 villages in rural Malawi. On site we saw first hand why Malawi has been listed as the fourth poorest country in the world and we were compelled to respond. Working alongside Steve & Marion Spencer of the African Bible College and Fletcher Matandika of Joy to the World Ministries, the Harbor Community of High Desert Church launched a campaign to bring hope and change to these people in need.
